Phye-Ma, meaning “Two Mothers,” is a unique weaving technique developed by the designer to represent two shades of colour sharing one origin, much like the transformation of a butterfly. By splitting the warp threads, deep forest green silk — like pine after rain — is woven tightly against vibrant orange silk, creating a subtle interplay where one shade almost disappears until it reveals itself again. Rooted in traditional textile motifs, the technique is reinterpreted through a contemporary design language that balances heritage, transformation, and modern expression.
